Abstract

(up to 500 words)

Fighting rising levels of unemployment - particularly among young people - has become one of the most urgent tasks for European governments. Too many young people leave school prematurely running a high risk of being unemployed and socially marginalized. The same risk threatens many adults with low skills. Technologies are changing the way in which society operates, and there is a need to ensure the best use is made of them.

Another challenge relates to the development of social capital among young people, the empowerment of young people and their ability to participate actively in society, in line with the provisions of the Lisbon Treaty to "encourage the participation of young people in democratic life in Europe".

Erasmus+ supports EU transparency and recognition tools for skills and qualifications – in particular Europass, Youthpass, the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET), the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework (EQAVET), the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR), the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) – as well as EU-wide networks in the field of education and training supporting these tools, in particular the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC), Euroguidance networks, the National Europass Centres and the EQF National Coordination Points.

The purpose of the proposal is to facilitate the training of students in the field of textile by using information technologies and communication and facilitating their mobility between different partners in Europe. The first phase will identify areas of textile industry development opportunities in Europe. On the basis of questionnaires or interviews with specialists in the textile, will establish requirements of these firms regarding qualifications of graduates in the field.  Education providers will offer courses or programs of study to meet the requirements of companies. These courses will be performed by institutions from different countries that have competence to address such areas. The course structure will include modules designed at different education providers. The courses will have different durations; will be loaded on an open source platform, where students will have the option to access one course or another. In addition to the learning on-line, corresponding to the practical work modules course be carried out in a short period of time (1-2 weeks) the creator of the module.

Another obtained effect will be the knowledge of new learning techniques, new technologies while improving their knowledge of a foreign language and social skills improve.
