Guide for courses evaluation and upgrading
Although the project main actors, tutors and learners, have reached the envisaged work targets, and the global experience within this group has been positively evaluated, there is always a need of analysing and improving, if necessary. In this context, the Guide for courses evaluation and upgrading, synthesize the relevant aspects and conclusions drawn after each partner evaluation.

Advanced knitting technologies |
8 trainees are working in the field of knitting-clothing articles production. |
Tested in some classes of Bachelor and Master courses |
Interest in new information |
The module is used for educational purposes in under- and post-graduate (M.Sc.) studies. |
This module has been developed at the TUIASI, Faculty of Textiles, Leather and Industrial Management. The topic is of interest of many researchers, mainly those involved in the knitted materials field, due to the huge possibilities offered by the electronic knitting machines. The module is used for educational purposes in under- and post-graduate (M.Sc., Ph.D) studies. |
Virtual prototyping of garments. 3D scanning. clothing for people with special needs |
The Department for Special textile articles of INCDTP also uses 3D body scanners. Main objective: to measure the body dimensions of new generation of people: male, female and children, in order to update the standards of mass-customized clothing. |
Tested in some classes of Bachelor and Master courses. |
Interest in new information |
This module has been developed at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Textile Materials and Design. The topic is of interest of many researchers from our institution. In addition, a number of students/graduates is interested in this topic, including one Ph.D. student. |
There is a strong interest in this topic for the majority of students, due to the high level of the garments design knowledge existing in our University and the actual level of the clothing industry. As well, several Ph.D students are doing their research in design of the clothing for disable people. This module is also useful for the master students enrolled in the study program Clothing Design and Advances in Knitting Technologies. |
INCDTP has also investigation laboratories for physical-mechanical and physical-chemical testing. The module is of interest for both laboratory analysts and for engineers. The trainees from textile enterprises do also have testing instruments and hence they are interested with new testing methods.
|
Tested in some classes of Bachelor and Master courses. |
Training of laboratory staff, self-checking, development in fields which are not familiar for the staff; info for other participants reg. the testing of their goods |
This is an interesting topic for the majority of employees and students. Within the Institute of Engineering Materials and Design there are seven laboratories; in each of them, there are many testing instruments/devices, therefore there is a high interest for new testing methods. |
This module is useful for the master students enrolled in the study programs Innovative Systems for Clothing Manufacturing, Clothing Design and Apparel Designing and Modeling |
|
INCDTP has expertise in the field of environment protection and LCA studies. It has developed two projects on European and national level with comparative LCA studies for conventional and plasma treated textile materials for hydrophobic properties. |
Tested in some classes of Bachelor and Master courses. |
Interest in new information |
Sustainability is extremely important in today’s world. It is not limited only to textiles, but also to other materials and branches. At our institution, sustainability is included into a number of courses; therefore, the module can be successfully used. |
This module is useful for the master students enrolled in the study program Quality Assurance in Textiles and Leather Field |
|
Entrepreneurship is especially useful in order to identify the personal strengths regarding the implementation of new business ideas. |
Tested in some classes of Bachelor and Master courses. |
Interest in new information |
Above all, the students, who would like to establish their own company after finishing their studies, are interested in entrepreneurship. |
This module is useful for the master students enrolled in the study program Eco-design in Textile Finishing |
|
The activity of implementation of new business ideas is also supported by innovation management, a discipline with good connections to the world-of-work, |
Tested in some classes of Bachelor and Master courses. |
Interest in new information |
In design, but also in production technologies, it is very important to understand different terms, related to innovation management. |
This module is useful for the master students enrolled in the study program Innovation and Entrepreneurship |
|
Standardization of textile testing |
Standards and standardization is widely used within INCDTP for different purposes, especially regarding testing. There is a special department for standardization. The institute is member of ASRO (the Romanian standardization association) within the Committee for textile standardization. |
Tested in some classes of Bachelor and Master courses. |
Interest in new information |
This module is related to the module New methods for testing textile materials and can be stated as one of the important modules within the e-learning system. As a research and educational institution we are interested in standardization of testing methods, therefore our staff has competences and good relations with the leading bodies responsible for standardization of textile testing. |
This module is useful for the master students enrolled in the study program Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Some of the staff is involved in the national standards development, in collaboration with the leading bodies responsible for standardization of textile testing. |
